Part 2: Abstinence Education for Christian Schools & Sunday Schools
A Biblical Approach to Purity and Character
Overview
Part 2 adapts our program for Christian schools, churches, and Sunday schools by presenting abstinence education through a Biblical worldview. Students learn why Scripture encourages purity, self-control, and respect for the sacredness of relationships.
This curriculum retains educational best practices while grounding all key principles in Biblical teaching, Christian ethics, and spiritual development.
Key Biblical Components
1. Biblical Foundations for Purity
Students learn key scriptures such as:
- 1 Thessalonians 4:3–4 – “This is the will of God… that each of you should learn to control your own body in holiness and honor.”
- 2 Timothy 2:22 – “Flee youthful passions and pursue righteousness.”
- Matthew 5:8 – “Blessed are the pure in heart.”
These verses explain God’s vision for purity, responsibility, and respect.
2. Why God Designed Abstinence Before Marriage
Lessons cover:
- The covenant of marriage (Genesis 2:24)
- The call to honor one’s body as God’s temple (1 Corinthians 6:19–20)
- The spiritual, emotional, and relational reasons to wait

Students understand abstinence as not a restriction, but a gift designed for their well-being.

- How purity strengthens faith
- The virtue of self-control (Galatians 5:22–23)
